Does anyone wandering through want a non-military example of the double-speak that permeates this administration? Here is one:
If the Obamas are such dog lovers why did they not have one to bring to the White House? Why did they get their first when they moved in? Is it because it will be worth hundreds of photo ops from a fawning press? It is the only campaign promise that will be kept in its entirity and also them most meaningless. They had the space in Chicago and the money to pay for care. Why wait? True dog lovers would have had one to bring.

The court jester just made it easier yet on the enemy. He gave them great recruiting rhetoric. He opened the door to the destruction of more Americans. Our enemies cut off heads and set live people afire and drag them down the streets until dead. They are not part of the Geneva Convention. They are not citizens of this country and are not protected by our Constitution. None of the methods included in the report violate the Geneva rules. He is pathetic and not only does he want to run our economy, he wants to empower Chavez and take all the blame for our Mexican drug problems. When the hell is going to remember who he works for?

I salute everyone in America who participated in a Tax Day Tea Party. No keep the momentum, write your letters, send your e-mails and do not let up. Remember what you said---it is not about one party or the other(both are guilty), it is about the country--when it is time to vote.

Clarification

I have to say something else before another day passes. I disagree with the president's socialist ideologies and all the people he appoints who will do all they can to pass regs and regulate their areas of responsibility with that in mind. I want him to do well in leading the country out of its economic but he needs to keep his negativism off the airways and to quit trying to run our companies. He has no Constitutional authority to do so and that is just fact. I blame Congress for most of our ills. They have been slowly ruining everything for four decades except for brief periods of time when all they had was rhetoric. Now we have the very worst group representing legal citizens that we have ever had. There are no checks and balances. Our forefathers have to be weeping in their graves.

In a few months I have seen the beginning of the burial of our representative republic in the sepulchre of socialism. We have the weakest leadership we have had since Jimmy Carter and Billy Beer. Because someone makes you feel good does not mean that person is a leader. A leader does not delay or run from the hard decisions that have to be made on a daily basis. The king's jester made ancient aristocracy feel good. The stones need to be grown to resurrect our country, our pride, and our national position in the world.

Four pirates with small arms in a glorified rowboat have our president and his brain-trust stymied. I find that incredible. Today (I e-mailed this originally on 4/12) they asked that "someone" arrest them. It is such a simple problem to solve and here I sit watching four pirates face down the most powerful nation and navy in the world, while other pirates circle and celibrate. All we have to do is have four snipers take out four targets simultaneously and it is over. That will make it less likely to happen again. What frigging idiocy are we witnessing? What frigging lack of resolve and guts are we being embarrassed by? What the hell do we have ruining this country? Sorry...that was a typo. I meant to say what the hell do we have running this country?

This is a simple problem and he cannot handle it. Do you really think he is going to handle anything more difficult? I heard Dennis Miller say on a news blurb that he makes Bush look eloquent when he does not have a teleprompter. Miller also said this man needs a prompter to read an eye chart. Now that is saying something. I respect the office but I have no respect for he who desecrates it now.

All I can see is this poor, heroic, forgotten captain floating toward land. When he is there our problem is trebled. He is on their turf and removed from us. He is dead and it is on the administatration's head.

Oh---don't bother telling me how this line of thought is not Christian. We are in a world situation where Christianity is totally threatened on almost all fronts and Europe is already ceding many Christian rights and we are in line moving that direction. If we all just lay and take the slaughter and the threats then there is nobody left to sing God's praises. I have yet to hear a joyful voice lifting from the confines of a graveyard.

PS---someone told the leadership that if it failed to act it would lose much more than it believed was at risk. Someone finally got that group to convince the president that we could take care of it quite easily. Gee--- we did. What a surprise to them all. Now they will claim some great victory for the new administration. It is not. It is a military victory and I salute them and the Seals who made it happen. It could have happened the same day the first Navy vessel arrived in the area. Why did it take so long to do? I do not know, but regardless of all that I am thankful for it happening and the captain being saved.

I think I am simply too stupid to understand what is happening right in front of me. I was taught to work hard. I was taught that a deal is a deal. I have tried hard to live up to both those ideals. I have heard the "pundits" say that I, and many other Americans, have not done enough to plan for retirement. I added my own money to what was promised to me in exchange for my labor and loyalty, but all sides of that equation have been corrupted. I see a whole group of older Americans getting their Social Security weakened by those who never contributed anything to the system or our way of life. I have seen speculators and government regulators cause the collapse of our financial system, thus doing harm to my plan. I, and thousands of others, have no time left to recover or protect ourselves from the liars and vultures. I see my health benefits about to go away---stolen by a bought judge---as it will for all of us older Americans who planned according to the promises made to us. And there is nothing to be done but suffer. I am confused.

I have seen a Commander-in-Chief (our Constitution says that is the primary job of our our president) tell our enemies when we will leave a war and how few we will leave behind, available to attack and vulnerable to kill. All our enemies have to do is rest for two years, recruit, train, and wait. I have seen him bow before a king and our President should bow before no other leader, and I am convinced he would lower our flag before that of another nation. I have seen both parties sit idly by and say nothing about any of these things, thus giving tacit approval to destruction within and outside of our borders. I am confused.

There is nothing we can trust or rely on in the very near, mortal future. There is nothing sacred or worth defending according to our leadership in D.C. There is no pride, no love of country, no love of our founding documents, our faith or our fundamental beliefs. There seems to be no recourse. I am confused.

I am heart-broken.
I grew up a Democrat and have been registered as such my entire voting life. Years ago I was active at the local level, which I used to believe was held to a different standard than those politicians at the national level. At the time there was a party for the people who were conservative in terms of defining and defending the meaning of middle class America. It was not the socialist party it has become. It moved so far left that its special interest groups run it. Anyone that does not think all the groups (Rainbow Coalition, ACORN, NOW and a myriad of gay rights and eco-nazi sects) are not special interest groups does not understand the flow of the money that is going to non-governmental entities. The American Bar Association wanted all the anti-smoking crap so it could win lawsuit after lawsuit from manufacturers and thus the lawyers in D.C. passed things favorable to other lawyers; things they could take advantage of when their own political careers were over. Where has the monty gone in suits from many states...to the taxpayers? NO! It goes first to pay legal fees. I am not giving gutless Republiscans a free ride in this either. Moderate Republicans are nothing more than liberals leaning toward socialism as well. Why is illegal immigration okay with all of them? Because if they get another block of voters their own positions are cemented no matter what we true citizens do. I saw the writing on the wall during Vietnam. Remember the players then? A lot of them are still around pulling strings in the background.

I am too emotional. Forgive me.

In 2006 the Dems took over Congress and we began a quick slide to Hell under the leadership of people like Pelosi and Reid, Schummer and Waxman, Boxer and other openly un-American, pro-socialists of their ilk. Now they have the White House too and the slide is a dead drop down the side of a building (proved this week by our president's performance in Europe as he sold out our our pride, our saving of that continent and our sovereignty). The fall has not hurt too much so far but those who have already landed and those who will land soon, are being destroyed by it. The Dems started the bus rolling down the hill and now they are too stupid to know how to stop it so they spend and spend and spend...and want total control of our economic system. My question is: how much harm can one man and one party do to our country? Obama has announced he is taking over the auto industry. During the New Deal our manufacturing machine was destroyed and we were almost unable to conduct a defense of our country. What about now, when religious fanatics have sworn to destroy us? More and more t.v. ads are softening our resolve by depicting them as harmless in a very subtle way. Maybe I am nuts, but in two short months I have seen things happen in D.C. that I never believed I would see. Congress does the budget. Bush never had the support to do much of anything after 2006 (Frank and his cronies refused to put controls over the banking industry at that time and they controlled the process) and he is still being blamed for what Congress failed in (and how it abdicated its duty in protecting all of us). He is even being blamed for a four trillion dollar budget that has been created in 2009 and that is ludicrous. Our lying, biased news media jams it down our throats every day, repeatedly, echoing a disingenuous executive branch in smearing obfuscating the truth.

I do not defend the leadership in Detroit, the banking industry, or the thieves on Wall Street, but we have gone from the frying pan to the fire in all of those places. And the government is going to do a better job running all of those institutions? It cannot run a two car funeral, much less private enterprise. The banking industry is going to be taken over by the IMF very soon from all indications and the deceit perpetrated by Obama last week support that idea in every way. A one-world currency is closer than we know. I used the mock the conspiracy nuts. I never took 1984 very seriously either, nor did I The Dumbing Down of America.

I am not laughing now.
