I grew up a Democrat and have been registered as such my entire voting life. Years ago I was active at the local level, which I used to believe was held to a different standard than those politicians at the national level. At the time there was a party for the people who were conservative in terms of defining and defending the meaning of middle class America. It was not the socialist party it has become. It moved so far left that its special interest groups run it. Anyone that does not think all the groups (Rainbow Coalition, ACORN, NOW and a myriad of gay rights and eco-nazi sects) are not special interest groups does not understand the flow of the money that is going to non-governmental entities. The American Bar Association wanted all the anti-smoking crap so it could win lawsuit after lawsuit from manufacturers and thus the lawyers in D.C. passed things favorable to other lawyers; things they could take advantage of when their own political careers were over. Where has the monty gone in suits from many states...to the taxpayers? NO! It goes first to pay legal fees. I am not giving gutless Republiscans a free ride in this either. Moderate Republicans are nothing more than liberals leaning toward socialism as well. Why is illegal immigration okay with all of them? Because if they get another block of voters their own positions are cemented no matter what we true citizens do. I saw the writing on the wall during Vietnam. Remember the players then? A lot of them are still around pulling strings in the background.
I am too emotional. Forgive me.
In 2006 the Dems took over Congress and we began a quick slide to Hell under the leadership of people like Pelosi and Reid, Schummer and Waxman, Boxer and other openly un-American, pro-socialists of their ilk. Now they have the White House too and the slide is a dead drop down the side of a building (proved this week by our president's performance in Europe as he sold out our our pride, our saving of that continent and our sovereignty). The fall has not hurt too much so far but those who have already landed and those who will land soon, are being destroyed by it. The Dems started the bus rolling down the hill and now they are too stupid to know how to stop it so they spend and spend and spend...and want total control of our economic system. My question is: how much harm can one man and one party do to our country? Obama has announced he is taking over the auto industry. During the New Deal our manufacturing machine was destroyed and we were almost unable to conduct a defense of our country. What about now, when religious fanatics have sworn to destroy us? More and more t.v. ads are softening our resolve by depicting them as harmless in a very subtle way. Maybe I am nuts, but in two short months I have seen things happen in D.C. that I never believed I would see. Congress does the budget. Bush never had the support to do much of anything after 2006 (Frank and his cronies refused to put controls over the banking industry at that time and they controlled the process) and he is still being blamed for what Congress failed in (and how it abdicated its duty in protecting all of us). He is even being blamed for a four trillion dollar budget that has been created in 2009 and that is ludicrous. Our lying, biased news media jams it down our throats every day, repeatedly, echoing a disingenuous executive branch in smearing obfuscating the truth.
I do not defend the leadership in Detroit, the banking industry, or the thieves on Wall Street, but we have gone from the frying pan to the fire in all of those places. And the government is going to do a better job running all of those institutions? It cannot run a two car funeral, much less private enterprise. The banking industry is going to be taken over by the IMF very soon from all indications and the deceit perpetrated by Obama last week support that idea in every way. A one-world currency is closer than we know. I used the mock the conspiracy nuts. I never took 1984 very seriously either, nor did I The Dumbing Down of America.
I am not laughing now.
